Tumble Home
View From Other Side has moved to a tidier home on Tumblr. Updated every other day, I’ve just finished moving the entire archive over there. Hope you like it.

A little history of the Lion’s Gate Bridge here.
This slide is a Plastichrome Super-Slide, manufactured in Boston. Note: the heavy pink hue noticable on this week’s images of Vancouver is native to the slide. I usually keep colour correction to an absolute minimum but have processed these a little more to bring out detail that would otherwise be lost.

English Bay is part of Vancouver’s downtown and played host to the local legend Seraphim ‘Joe’ Fortes, Vancouver’s first lifeguard, who taught hundreds of children how to swim after moving there in the 1880s.

Autumn tree lines

USA, c. 1960s. Location unknown.
This will be the last shot from the USA for a while – next week View From Other Side is heading for the chillier climes of Canada for a month. I’ve gathered together some beautiful commerical scenic slides. Expect each one to be accompanied by more information than the slides so far, which unfortunately were bought loose in a bag, with little information.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the highways, parades, baseball games, coastlines, art shows and dinner parties. As always, I would love to hear feedback and information on the images.
